Wedding venue: The Seabreeze Resort, Samoa

Selecting a venue for your wedding can sometimes be the most difficult decision in the whole the wedding planning process. So, to make your decision that little bit simpler, we present one of our favourite venues, the Seabreeze Resort in Samoa.

Saying "I do" to the sounds of waves rolling up on the sand and the sight of the amazing lagoon could not be any more romantic. The Samoan exclusive resort offers a unique and intimate experience for every couple and their friends and family.

The resort is located on the southeast side of the island near Aufaga. The Seabreeze capture the essence of relaxation and has become one of the most highly rated resorts in Samoa.

Seabreeze offers a couple of wedding packages each with its own island experience. A wedding on the beach incorporating the Samoan culture and religion can be an amazing experience. Exchange vows to the sound of the conch shell, escorted by traditional warriors in Siapo (traditional dress). As the sun sets, the Seabreeze provide a range of tasty delights to suit your style and needs with local flowers in abundance and champagne served after the ceremony. Honeymoon Venue: Westhaven Retreat, Nelson

When considering an honeymoon, the venue selection can be rather harrowing with an entire world to consider. In this post, we've profiled a truly amazing local destination to inspire your wanderlust. This week’s venue is the the stunning Westhaven Retreat in Nelson.

The family owned lodge was purpose built for guests to enjoy luxury combined with the comfort of home on one of New Zealand’s most stunning coastlines, Golden Bay. Westhaven lodge is approximately three and a half hours from Nelson, and just under an hour from Takaka.

Westhaven Lodge is nestled on a privately owned 1000 acre peninsula, located on the tip of the South Island, in Golden Bay. The peninsula has an extraordinary location with borders to the Kahurangi National Park and the Whanganui Inlet. The scenery and views are so astoundingly beautiful, that many guests are swept away by its beauty. The Luxury Lodge Suite is beautiful and spacious where you can enjoy a soak in the jacuzzi looking out of the inlet and Kahurangi National Park.

While relaxing at the lodge and taking in the view seems like a relaxing way to honeymoon, the location offers amazing nature adventures. Hiking around the peninsula can lead to secluded private beaches, astounding rock formation and the largest Nikau Palm forest. This truly is a paradise where newlyweds can indulge in the privacy. Kayaking, fishing, and mountain bike tours can also be arranged. The secluded area can be made the most of by exploring via helicopter. Due to the lodges remoteness, heli-fishing and heli-hunting are two common activities.

Honeymoon Destination: Geejam Hotel, Jamaica

When considering an overseas honeymoon, the venue selection can be rather harrowing with an entire world to consider. In this post, we've profiled a truly amazing location to inspire your wanderlust. This week’s venue is the breath-taking Geejam Hotel in Jamaica.

The Geejam Hotel is nestled in the heart of the Jamaican bush but boasts world-class views of the Caribbean.The hotel is only a 10 minute drive west from the historic town of Port Antonio, located on the northeast coast of Jamaicåa.

A honeymoon at the Geejam is like no other with its mix of native bush and tropical waters, and close location to town, so much is to be done. The perfect honeymoon suite is the Mento. The luxurious escape is surrounded by rainforest which can be seen from all windows. The deluxe cabin features an indoor-outdoor bathroom with a steam, which leads on to the patio. The patio is perfect for a late night jacuzzi looking out of the waters, or a morning relax in the hammock while reading a book. Its is its own private niche with high ceilings, hardwood floors and white linen, the atmosphere is relaxing.

A driver can drop you off at any of the white sandy beaches of Frenchman’s cove, Blue Lagoon, Pellew Island, San San Beach, Winnifred Beach, Boston Bay or Long Bay where you can swim or snorkel with the tropical fish. Rafting down the Rio Grande is another option, and a popular favorite - complimented by a home-cooked on-site river lunch of local fare, bringing you so close to nature you can almost taste the landscape.

By day, Port Antonio is bustling with local culture with gift shops and restaurants to sample local food. By night, Port Antonio prides itself on its history, culture and the natural beauty of its environment. Thanks to its off-the-beaten-path location and word-of-mouth recommendation, the town is a welcome diversion from the traditional tourist destination.

The tropical Geejam Hotel offers a relaxing, and casual stay in one of Jamaica’s most spectacular locations. Whether it be relaxing on a beach, or in a hammock overlooking the rainforest, the Geejam can only be the best choice for a Jamaican honeymoon getaway.

This venue is Costa Rica’s Westin Playa Conchal Resort and Spa. It’s one of the island’s largest resorts based in the northern province of Guanacaste, and offers everything a newlywed couple needs - not to mention its high standard of luxury.

The resort is about 45 minutes from the Liberia International Airport, and 10 kilometres from the closest town, Tamarindo. It spans across 2,400 acres of land and features a lagoon-style pool, gardens, tennis courts and a championship golf club.

The Westin offers over 300 luxurious guest rooms, including fifty royal service suites and two presidential suites for the ultimate in luxury, all lavishly designed and decorated. A favourite for honeymooners is the Royal Beach Club suite which looks out over the beach and the resort’s gardens. After a day of exploring, let the day's adventures melt away in your private outdoor tub or with a drink on the private balcony.

Guanacaste is an easy lure for honeymooners who are wanting to relax on the beach. The tropical paradise and pristine shoreline of white sand which leads to the crystal clear waters of the Pacific making for perfect snorkelling, surfing and swimming.

The northern province is mainly known for the best beaches, but of course has an abundance of natural landscapes including tropical forests, volcanoes and national parks close by. Hire a bike from the resort and explore the natural wonders as a couple or stay at the resort for the day and be treated to a couple’s spa experience.

The Westin resort has coupled up with Swiss Travel to offer couples a variety of activities to make the most of their Central American honeymoon adventure. Choose from the 'Pure Adrenaline' day which gives the chance to swing through the forest like Tarzan and to be amongst some of the Costa Rican rainforest or explore an organic cacao bean farm and discover the sweet bean behind the delectable taste of chocolate. For exploring Costa Rica, everything is close by. The province’s capital, Liberia is only an hours’ drive from the resort. Liberia is known as the "White City" because of the whitewashed walls and colonial architecture seen throughout the city.

When in Marrakech there are endless activities to do and sights to see. First and foremost, we recommend you explore Djemaa el-Fna – the main square in Marrakech. Here you will find restaurants, musicians, exhibitions and even snake charmers. Jardin Majorelle is another gorgeous attraction that was gifted to Marrakech by the iconic Yves Saint Laurent. Here you will find a gorgeous blue Moroccan villa and surrounding gardens which began cultivating in 1924. Now open to the public, the villa is now a museum which displays over 600 artefacts.

After busy days exploring the stunning streets of Morocco, return to Mandarin Oriental for a visit to their spa and wellness centre. Here you can enjoy the hamman (a traditional Moroccan ritual based body treatment), which involves different treatments until the skin glows.
