We are a premier international wedding & event planning and design firm specializing in opulent weddings with the grace and beauty of a bygone era. We are known for our elegant yet understated design.

Harlow Garland garnered its name from two of old Hollywood's most revered icons, Jean Harlow and Judy Garland and seeks to emulate that same inherent sophistication and grace for your wedding day.

From assisting with just one select part of your wedding planning process to taking on the entire event in our full service and destination packages, Harlow Garland's 17 years of experience and our signature eye for elegance assure you of a seamless planning process and strikingly beautiful wedding day.

We have offices in Auckland and Wellington and are available nationwide and internationally.

Our Role

It’s our job to create the overall vision and feel of the event, or if you’ve provided us your vision, to make that a reality.

We listen to your thoughts and ideas and determine the overall aesthetic down to meticulous detail and source suitable vendors to implement the vision.

We plan and style events ourselves in the role of wedding planner, but also often work alongside other planners in the role of event designer to manage all facets of the events, bringing all vendors together in one seamless design team.

Travel & Site Visits

For most events, it is necessary for us to visit the venue at least once if it isn’t one of our preferred venues or you’re planning an international wedding.

During this trip, we visit local markets and speak to local vendors to determine the necessary logistics and learn about the location to further enrich the guests’ experience.

We choose to source as much as we can for the wedding locally and choose only florals which are in season in your chosen location. The week of the event, we arrive at least three to five days prior to the event (depending on the level of set up required) to ensure we have time to adequately manage all vendors during the production process.

Rhonnie will personally style all decorative elements ensuring meticulous adherence to the design plan as well as directing the entire design team and all vendors to meticulous detail.

Rhonnie founded Harlow Garland with the vision that all brides deserve that magical moment of entering their venue and seeing their dream wedding laid out for them. With over 17 years of experience in wedding planning, private event planning, editorial styling, corporate styling and corporate event management, her creative vision and integrity make for a trusted friend and manager through the entire planning process through to fruition.

Rhonnie offers a background of wedding and event management, freelance and staff journalism for various New Zealand magazines, organisation, marketing and the creative arts which provides the Harlow Garland bride with a full service, complete package planner/ manager / PR manager and confidante throughout the entire process.

Her attention to detail, organisation, imagination, concept design and passion for beautiful events has solidified her as a powerhouse creative influence in the industry.

Her work has been featured in Magnolia Rouge, The Lane, NZ Bride and Groom Magazine, Auckland Weddings, Style me Pretty and many more.
