The vineyard wedding venue is located only a short drive from the Christchurch airport and city centre. The vineyard has served as a wedding venue by owners John and Sue Shanks since Trent's opened in 1997. They planted the vineyard, designed, strengthened and restored the historic buildings creating the venue it is today.

The beautiful 140-year-old brick building, typically used for the reception was restored to create a quality venue. The rural setting is a perfect mix of proximity and privacy for the special day. The stunning landscape the Shanks have created fit for purpose offers many options for photos. The 50 acres of farmlands lined with avenues of aged trees, neighbouring oat fields, ponds and rustic fences, the opportunities are every couples dream. Depending on the season this can differ from horses grazing and hay making, to fields of colourful daffodils. Options are endless at Canterbury’s leading wedding venue. A Victorian gazebo located under the sycamore trees on the large sheltered lawn is a stunning backdrop for the ceremony. If it’s raining, a vintage conservatory area with roll-up sides can be a lovely alternative. Trent's head chef Sho Ishizuka also offers its own high quality catering for wedding receptions.
